Gamescom 2019: 5 Best Game Trailers You Need to Watch

0

Europe’s big gaming expo Gamescom is taking place this week, and as a result, we’re getting a ton of video game reveals and new trailers for upcoming releases coming our way! We’ve rounded up 5 of the best trailers so far:

Death Stranding

To be fair, no one knows what Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima’s next project is about, but there’s no doubt that it looks interesting. Death Stranding is an a third-person adventure game (of sorts) which stars The Walking Dead‘s Norman Reedus in a weird, paranormal world full of ghost babies.

Gears of War 5

We’ve seen a fair bit of Gears of War 5 (which is seemingly just being called Gears 5) since its reveal, but while we’ve been given some footage of the new multiplayer modes, we haven’t seen much around the single-player campaign. Well, this new trailer gives some snippets of the chaos Kait, Marcus and the rest of the Gears will have to fight through in order to get to the bottom of Kait’s mysterious connection to the Locust.

Need for Speed Heat

Need for Speed Heat was announced last week, but now we’ve got a really comprehensive look at what the latest NFS racer from Ghost Games will entail, including the cars, customisation options, and world of Palm City.

Little Nightmares II

One of the most under-appreciated games of 2017 was that of Little Nightmares, and a sequel was revealed at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live event. The new trailer showcases that players will have the ability to fight back against the grotesque enemies in the game (rather than just running away), as well as the inclusion of co-op.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Nintendo Switch

One of the best games ever made, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, is finally making its way to Nintendo’s Switch; and while it will feature a noticeable graphical downgrade, Nintendo fans will appreciate that CD Projekt RED managed to get their open-world epic to run on the portable console.
