Getting back on track

With the festivities just behind us, sometimes it seems almost impossible to get back in shape. With our fitness and diet, we’re either not doing something that we should or doing something that we shouldn’t. Let’s try something new – discover that passion you once had! What makes you feel alive and free after a tiresome working week, or relaxed and captivated during your hectic schedule?

When we find something that adds value, we naturally find we have more energy to put into it and keep coming back for more. Make a note of things that you’ve been meaning to do, that you can gain something from and go for it. You may discover a budding hobby. If not, at least just gaining pleasure from the experience!

For me it is Modern, Jazz & Contemporary dancing. Spending hours in the studio dancing, challenging my body on a daily basis, and continually being inspired by related TV shows is what makes me feel alive. I like to try new dance styles, buying dance books online and staying informed with dance tweeters on Twitter.

Dancing is my passion. It keeps me in the swing of things. It is rewarding when I consider all the added benefits.  I can honestly say that I can’t help but look forward to it every day! When last have you felt excited and passionate for something that you usually couldn’t go an hour without thinking about?
