Back to work blues? Here’s a list of items to help make the most of 2015

The holiday is over and it’s back to work for many of us. Start your working year with a clean slate by stocking up on a few items that will make your time in the office more fun and productive.

A lunchbox. Packing your own lunch will not only ensure you stay away from goodies that will undo all your New Year’s resolutions but help you save money. Store your salads, sandwiches and fruit in a new lunchbox and be envy of your colleagues.

Pot-plant container. There’s nothing like a burgeoning pot plant to brighten your desk and make your workspace more appealing. House your pretty plant in a container it deserves and create the desk of your dreams!

Your own coffee mug. Many offices provide cups when you need to satisfy your caffeine craving – but wouldn’t you rather have your own? Find one that suits your needs – either a stainless steel one that keeps drinks hot (or cold) or a mug with a design that matches your personality. The choices are endless.

Laptop bag. Have laptop? That means you need a laptop bag – and not that common-or-garden one that comes standard with laptop computers but a smart or quirky one that says, “I have style”. Also, if you travel a lot you’re going to need one that stands out from the crowd and ensures you don’t lose sight of it when you’re in airport lounges or train stations.

Mouse pad. Personalise your workspace with a mouse pad that “speaks” to you. It will look great on your desk and make your day more fun every time you click!

Storage boxes. Declutter your space and you’ll declutter your mind – that’s what the experts say. Keep your workspace clean and clear by storing files and documents in storage boxes that work for you. You’ll also love the fact that everything you need is so easy to find.

If you work in an open-plan office you’ll need your own set of earphones. They’re a great way to zone out from the madness and keep you focused on your work. And of course, they’re also ideal when you just have to listen to that YouTube video or fascinating podcast during your lunch break…
