Replacing your printer cartridges can get quite costly, but luckily there is a more simple and affordable alternative.

Here’s how to refill your own printer cartridges in 3 simple steps

Step 1 – Get Everything Together

First you’ll need the printer ink. These are available here and are easily obtainable for most standard ink printers. Read the box to see if the particular ink that you are buying corresponds with your printer.

Next you’ll need a 1ml disposable syringe.

Finally, you’ll need your empty printer cartridge.

Step 2 – Find Where To Insert The Ink

On most standard ink printer cartridges the place where you will insert the ink is located on a sticker near the top of the cartridge. On the sticker is a black spot where the hole is found that you can insert the syringe. It is also safe to peel back the sticker.

Step 3 – Refill The Cartridge

Be careful when filling the syringe; draw the ink in slowly to prevent any air bubbles from forming in the ink. Also, you might find that some ink spills during the process so always have a dry cloth handy to clear pup any spilled ink. Fill the cartridge to about three-quarter capacity and allow to set for between 2 -3 hours before using.
