The game release schedule for 2020 heats up 2020, as we see the return of some big-name franchises and long-awaited exclusives. Here are the games to look out for in February 2020:

Zombie Army 4: Dead War

Release date: 4 February 2020 (Xbox One | PS4 | PC)

Fans of Rebellion Entertainment’s Sniper Elite series and shooting zombies in the face will be glad to know that the franchise’s spin-off undead-killing mode is getting a full release this month with Zombie Army 4: Dead War. It’s schlocky arcade horror at its very-best, and borrows the mechanics and control scheme straight from the under-appreciated Sniper Elite 4, allowing you to team up with three other players to take on Hitler’s shambling hordes and tackle some tricky objectives and enemies.

Darksiders Genesis

Release date: 14 February 2020 (Xbox One | PS4 | Already on PC)

The Darksiders series has always followed the third-person action-adventure foundation of the original, but the prequel, Genesis, morphs the apocalyptic action game into a top-down dungeon-crawler. Starring two of the Horseman of the Apocalypse (War and starring for the first time, Strife) you can pair up in co-op, take on some demonic baddies, and rip your way through the origin story for the franchise.

Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle

Release date: 18 February 2020 (Xbox One | PS4)

Two of the greatest action games of the last generation, Platinum Games’ Bayonetta and Vanquish, are being upgraded and bundled in one package for longtime fans and newcomers to enjoy. Bayonetta, originally released back in 2009, is a hack-‘n-slash affair much like that of Devil May Cry, while Vanquish is a fast, frantic, and high-octane third-person shooter, featuring a lot of slow-motion action and oversized robotic enemies.

Release date: 25 February 2020 (Xbox One | PS4 | Already on PC)

Fans of old-school management simulators from yesteryear will be glad to know that the hospital sim game from the team behind the original Theme Hospital is arriving on consoles in February. The new game, Two Point Hospital allows players to design and customise their own hospitals, hire staff (who require their own management), and do whatever it takes to treat some totally bizarre cases and illnesses. The game also allows you to expand outside of your hospital in order to research illnesses and develop new inventions to compete with rival healthcare companies, and to take your medical empire online to compete in some multiplayer challenges.
