Looking at the game releases for June 2021, there is a little something for everyone, including a twitchy first-person shooter, the return of a beloved Playstation duo, and some new titles that’ll tickle the interest of ambitious gamers. Here are our picks for the most-anticipated games of June 2021:

Necromunda: Hired Gun

Release date: 1 June 2021 (Xbox Series X|S | PS5 | Xbox One | PS4 | PC) – Find the best price here.

Set in the Warhammer 40K universe, Necromunda: Hired Gun will appeal to Doom fans thanks to its fast-paced FPS gunplay and level design. You play as a mercenary who’s been hired to scour the Necromunda for some high-value targets, comprising of outlaws, mutants, and whatever else you’re paid to take out. There are a bunch of weapons (all of which are upgradable) along with a wall-run ability and grappling hook to get players around the massive, industrial environments of the Underhive.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2

Release date: 4 June 2021 (Xbox Series X|S | | Xbox One | PS4 | PC) – Find the best price here.

The shamefully overlooked Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts is getting a sequel this June, this time set in the desert landscapes of the Middle East. Once again, you play as a mercenary who has to eliminate some valuable targets, either using long-range stealth or going in guns blazing – the choice is yours. The gear has been revamped too, allowing you to customise every aspect of your rifle and loadout, and the visuals have seen a bit beefing-up from Contracts too, with the slow-mo bullet-cam getting some extra gory attention.
