It’s Now Safe To Use Facebook At Work

0

For twelve years millions of people around the world have been making use of Facebook to connect with family and friends, share memories and keep up with what’s happening around the world.

And now thanks to a new service from Facebook you’ll be able to use the social media platform at work.

Facebook Workplace was first unveiled 18 months ago and has since then tested it among some big business names such as the Royal Bank of Scotland and Danone. Workplace is essentially a platform that businesses, big or small, can use to connect with one another, advertise and share ideas in a strictly professional environment.

Like normal Facebook, the Workplace service will work on both desktop and mobile devices, but unlike Facebook it will not be bringing in revenue from ads but rather from subscription fees. There will also be the usual Facebook functions such as Reactions, Groups, search functions, trending topics and Live Video. Some new features include group video chat which will make it easier for colleagues to collaborate, and multi-business groups designed for networking.

Facebook Workplace already has more than 1000 companies signed up from countries such as Norway, the US, the UK and France. Facebook Workplace will cost $3 per user, per month.
