They’re most well-known for their popular action cameras, but now GoPro are going into uncharted territory with a product they’ve never released before.

GoPro have unveiled their Karma drone, and it has a few new features they hope will set it apart from the competition

While many people are used to mounting their GoPro cameras onto drones, it’s surprising that GoPro have taken so long to release their own. But does the Karma drone have anything that sets it apart from the extensive competition out there?

First off, the Karma conveniently folds up and fits into a backpack that has been especially made for the drone. This is a big help as some people find that their drones get easily damaged when travelling.

The karma also has interchangeable rotor blades and the Karma Grip, a pivoted support that detaches from the drone and can also be used for handheld filming or can be attached to other items like helmets.

While there’s no word as to when the Karma will come to South Africa or how much it will cost, it will be going for around $800 on release. We’ll keep you updated on when we can expect the Karma is S.A.
