Nokia’s secret unveiled

0

Last night Nokia cryptically told the world that they will be unveiling “something big”. Not  too much  information was given and then at 9am UK time they unveiled the following: The Nokia Lumia 625.

Product manager Vinay Jayakumar said that “The transition to 4G is gathering pace. With a super-fast internet connection, there’s a real demand for big, beautiful screens that help bring all the content to life – this is where the Nokia Lumia 625 arrives with a really competitive price to match.”

Nokia Music provides unlimited streaming of ad-free mixes without registration or subscription, plus the ability to download mixes for listening offline with the Nokia Lumia 625. Nokia has also teamed with Coloud to create BOOM headphones that combine audio prowess with excellent value, and integrated microphone and buttons for voice calls and music control. The headphones and mobile device packages are nothing new – HTC, Apple and Samsung have been doing it for years, with HTC acquiring some share holding from Beats by Dre  to augment their offering.

With its big screen and super-fast connectivity, the Nokia Lumia 625 offers leading maps and location experiences from HERE, providing free maps, turn-by-turn navigation and public transport guidance.

The Nokia Lumia 625 will be available in a variety of markets (including Africa) by Q3 2013. Will you consider getting one?
