Console Gaming In South Africa Turning The Corner

0

One of the biggest complaints in the last 18 months in the console gaming industry in South Africa has been the cost of games and Consoles. Forums have been inundated with members saying that they will either stop playing or indicating that they might be focusing only on one particular console.  The major factors which have lead to this wave of unhappiness were the cost of the games and the consoles. That might be changing in the next few months.
A new console is about to change all that. Sony has just released the Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) Slim. It’s smaller and cheaper – two very important factors in the gaming world.

So what else does the Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) Slim have in its favour?
It comes with a 120GB SATA Hard Drive which is plenty of space to save those special chapters/missions which are in need of completion. As with the standard PS3 – it can play Blu-ray DVD’s and it has a HDMI port for your LCD TV. The Slim also supports Dolby 5.1, DTS 5.1, as well as Linear PCM 7.1 sound to make the gaming experience even more real. The Slim also has one wireless controller to avoid cabling hassles. The other cool thing with the Slim is the free (yes, free) PlayStation Network Membership.

I sense the biggest drawback for this product is not being backwards compatible with the older brother, the PS2.

So, what are you waiting for? Buy yourself a Sony PlayStation 3 Slim and get gaming. This might be a good decision and get you to relax after a hard day’s work.
