Cheap flights, cheap flights! Flight search goes live!

0

I’m glad I can finally write this post! What started off as an experiment to see if it was possible to compare flights in South Africa, has finally culminated in the beta release of our new flight search. And, it’s great (if I do say so myself 🙂 )!

What we’ve enabled you, the user, to do is compare flights and prices on one page on the site you’ve come to trust. From my own personal experience and that of family and friends, it’s such a time-consuming process to search for flights and compare them across 5/6 different sites – each time having to re-enter your destinations, dates and times. So, I decided that we all needed a single place to do the comparisons, and with the boom in budget airline travel, there’s no better time than now.

What you see on the flight search is more-or-less a hybrid application from all the best flight searches around the world, but implemented in that simple PriceCheck interface you’ve become accustomed to. You can choose to fly to and from any airport and if we have results from our providers, we’ll show you. To start we’ve launched with Travelstart as our launch provider for local and international flights as well as flights from Kulula, Mango, 1Time and Nationwide.

We’ve also got some recent flights from our most popular cities and also have weather information including a 10-day forecast! All of these little things to help our users find the most suitable flight and best deal possible.

And, because it’s still in beta, we’re still working out some kinks and will constantly be adding/removing/modifying as we go as well as adding new providers and airlines to our expanding list. Also, please don’t forget to give us your feedback on the flight search – we’d love to hear all your suggestions – good, bad, big or small!

Don’t waste any more time, go book now! Travel safe!
