Microsoft has officially revealed the Xbox Series X, the next entry into the company’s Xbox line-up.

Not too many details were given about its specific hardware internals, but from the reveal image, we now know that (despite many rumours) it will in fact feature a disk drive. Based on previous statements by Microsoft engineers, we do know that it will utilise AMD’s Zen 2 processor, the GPU will be based on the AMD RDNA graphics architecture, include a super fast SSD, and target to play games natively at 4K 60 frames-per-second.

Games

Microsoft confirmed that 15 Xbox Game Studios are building a huge library of titles for the Xbox Series X. And, while we didn’t get to hear about nearly all of these games, we did get a bizarre trailer for Hellblade II Senua’s Saga.

Controller

The Xbox Series X console controller isn’t vastly different to previous iteration’s of the company’s controller, but has been reworked and reshaped to be more comfortable and “accessible” for all types of gamers. The most notable addition is the inclusion of a ‘share’ button, so you can capture screenshots, videos, and other moments to share with friends online.

There are no mentions of pricing or model variations of the Xbox Series X, but we’re sure Microsoft is sure to reveal some more information as we edge into 2020.
