The introduction of the characters in The Eternals marks somewhat of a new era for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as the film follows an ancient group of cosmic beings who predate all the other heroes and help protect humanity from the Deviants.

Eternals stars Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris, Gemma Chan as humankind-loving Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as cosmic-powered Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as the intelligent inventor Phastos, Salma Hayek as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak, Lia McHugh as the eternally young but old-soul Sprite, Don Lee as the powerful Gilgames, Barry Keoghan as aloof loner Druig, Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena, and Kit Harington as Dane Whitman. The film is directed by Academy Award–winner Chloé Zhao, who directed 2020’s Nomadland.

GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE

With all the delays and changes in the movie world, it would’ve been easy to forget that a new Ghostbusters film is releasing this November. After the underwhelming response to the 2016 reboot, Ghostbusters: Afterlife positions itself as an official third instalment to the original GB timeline.

The film follows a single mom and two kids who arrive in a small town and begin to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters, along with the secret legacy that their grandfather left behind. Ghostbusters: Afterlife stars Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Carrie Coon, Sigourney Weaver, and a whole cast of other exciting talents.
