Sizzling Summer Shows And Stalls

Summer is finally showing some signs of making its appearance and with lots of sunshine and blue skies there are lots of fun activities to look forward to without being bothered about rain or cold weather. Whether it is food, music or wines…allow your senses to be tickled, teased and tantalized by all that summer has to offer.

The ever popular Spiegel Tent Victoria is back and sets up camp at Madame Zingara’s Theatre of Dreams in Cape Town. Capetonians can look forward to the Madame Zingara: 10 Years of Dreams on the 1st of September when doors open in Century City.

According to managing director, Richard Griffin the 10-year anniversary show “…will be a show filled with warm, fond memories of the magical love affair audiences have enjoyed with Madame Zingara over the years.”

For R350 – R450 per person which will include a welcome drink and a fantastic 4-course meal, allow yourself to indulge in a night of pure entertainment and extravagance. Doors open at 7pm.

If you are a food lover and would like to meet other foodies, City Bowl Market is just the place for you! Since opening, they have seen incredible growth and boast an array of eats and treats. You will be able to gorge on bagels, Indian cuisine, sushi and croissants. City Bowl Market really does cater to everyone – with a jungle gym for the kids and a garden to meet up with friends and enjoy the sun.

The City Bowl Market can be found at 14 Hope Street, Gardens, Cape Town and is open for trade every Saturday from 9am to 2am.

Not to be outdone, Kwazulu Natal’s Shongweni Farmers and Craft Market have become known for its fresh produce in the upper Highway region.  The market attracts those health conscious and healthy eaters from as far as Durban and Pietermaritzburg.

You can enjoy a variety of foods such as cheese, delicious breakfast options as well as wine. Not to mention beer made from fruit! What a treat!

Entrance to the Shongweni Farmers and Craft Market is absolutely free and trading hours are from 6am to 10am.
